Entry Requirments & Visas Getting to Cayman

Grand Cayman is served by Owen Roberts International Airport. There is also a private air terminal available. There are more than 55 weekly flights into the Cayman Islands including 28 flights each week between Miami and Grand Cayman. Cayman Airways provides direct services from Chicago, Miami, Tampa and New York.

Inter-island services are available with Cayman Airways between Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. A daily jet service is provided to Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, while Cayman Express provides service four times daily to both islands from Grand Cayman.

All those entering the Cayman Islands who require a passport should ensure that the passport is valid for six months after their date of return.

If you are American, British, Canadian, a citizen of another Commonwealth country (with the exception of Bangladesh, Gambia, India, Jamaica, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Uganda) you will not require a Visa.

Persons requiring a visa for entry into or transit through the Cayman Islands must apply to the nearest British Embassy or Consulate that has a visa section. For further information please click here www.immigration.gov.ky

During the flight, you will need to complete an Immigration Form and a Customs Declaration Form. Upon arrival at the Owen Roberts International Airport you will first enter the Immigration Hall where you will need to submit the completed Immigration Form to an Immigration Officer. Once the immigration process is complete, you will proceed to the baggage claim area to retrieve luggage and proceed to the “Nothing to Declare” sign (Customs Inspection Area). The signed Customs Declaration form will be submitted to the Customs Officer.
