Sailing Sailing

Many tourists visit our islands and never actually make it far from their hotel beach. Come and explore with our island tour to the picturesque setting of Rum Point on the North side of the island.

The tour will depart from the Ritz-Carlton and travel down through George Town, the capital of Grand Cayman, before heading along residential South Sound Road. The tour continues across to Pedro St James Castle where we will stop for a short break for you to take pictures and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the gardens. The tour will continue along through Bodden Town, the first capital of the Cayman Islands, where guests can view traditional Cayman-style homes and along the costal road past Breakers before heading across land to the district of North Side along to our final destination of Rum Point. The journey will take about 50 minutes, excluding stops and will be in an air conditioned bus.

Sailing

Once guests arrive at Rum Point there is plenty to do – or not do – depending on how you wish to spend your morning! If you're looking for relaxation, there are plenty of hammocks strung to the shady trees on the white sandy beach and the wreck bar will keep you refreshed with courtesy tropical drinks. The water is very shallow and clear here, so it's perfect for swimming, snorkelling or just lazing around on a raft. We will provide a number of your favourite beach toys for your enjoyment including waverunners, kayaks and aqua-trikes.

Although there is partial shade on the beach we recommend all guests bring suntan lotion, a hat and wear light comfortable clothing for protection from the sun.
